Promptly at 11:55.....

Ahhhh yes, one of my many misadventures this weekend on the train.

Traveling to Syracuse...
Leave my house promtly at 2:30 am Saturday to catch a train to Syracuse for camp this weekend. The train leaves Baltimore on time, a good start. I transfer in NYC (New York City...get a rope!) this train also leaves right on time, still on schedule here. The Train gets to Syracuse, as promised, promptly at 12:40 pm. I am picked up this weekend by all things, a coach bus, it has to look a little interesting, one guy boarding a coach bus then leaving the little tiny Syracuse Amtrack station.

Show up promptly (late) to warmup for the St. Patricks day gig. No big deal here, the staff new about my challenge in getting to Cuse this weekend. Just in time to do 1 run through of the parade tune and one run through of the chopped for time's sake opener.

Fast forward to Sunday.........

Train from Syracuse to NYC (New York City...get a rope!) leaves prompty at 4:20 pm (coincidence? I don't think so!) There are like 4 seats for 20 passengers from little tiny Syracuse Amtrack Station. I am in a rush I need a seat. As Full train from tiny Syracuse Amtrack station leaves I realize.....oh shit moment coming.....My CD wallet is still sitting in the middle of tiny Syracuse Amtrack station....I am not amused. I make some calls...still waiting on the status of my CD's.....

Sleep...Sleep...Sleep...

Next train leaves from NYC (New York City...get a rope!) to Baltimore promptly at 10:05. At 10:05 we are still promptly 20 minutes from NYC (New York City...get a rope!) To my suprise we get to NYC (New York City...get a rope!) and my train has not left promptly at 10:05. In fact my train is no where to be found, except on the board. DELAYED. Ok not so bad, maybe they were waiting for us. Lots of time goes by they make announcements about my train that it is going to be there soon. Apparently soon translates to whenever they are damn good and ready to go, or something like that.

Well promptly at 11:55 we are finally boarding the train from NYC (New York City...get a rope!) to Baltimore.

Sleep...Sleep...Sleep...

Wake up in Baltimore, catch a taxi, I am home...it's 3 am...I have to be at work promptly at 8...no rest for the weary that's what I say. The sleep I can do without, but the CD's man, that really SUCKS!

Stay tuned, more mayhem, misadventures, and misbehavior coming soon to a theater near you....I'm out.....
